I was first introduced to origami for my school’s market day in third grade. My mom taught me how to make origami frogs to sell and after making 100 frogs, I completely fell in love with origami. I also learned how to make an origami peacock from my mom, which my grandfather taught her, and it is my favorite thing to make. Since I couldn’t find it anywhere else online, I put the instructions for it on this website in the “Origami Peacock Instructions” subpage in hopes that someone else can enjoy it as I have. By the time I got to middle school, I had bought 3 advanced origami books. My summers have been spent on learning new origami from them and my two years of quarantine from Covid have, too. Now, as a senior in high school, origami still occupies a lot of my free time and is always the first thing that comes to mind when I have to do a creative project at school. It is one of my favorite hobbies that I wish to always continue. Over the years, I have learned how to make over 50 types of origami things. Below are some of my favorites that I learned in the 9 years I have been doing origami:
Peacock
Whale
Squid
Lobster
Hedgehog
Penguin
Horse
Cat
Dogs
Deer
Giraffe
Mouse
